LOCAL ASSETS POSTED A MIXED SESSION, with the S&P Merval rising 1.04% in USD terms, driven by strong earnings reports from several index constituents, even as country risk jumped to 465 basis points, its highest level since June 10. In fixed income, peso curves stood out with broad-based gains, while hard-dollar sovereigns closed lower again.

HARD-DOLLAR SOVEREIGNS CLOSED MIXED, with Globales averaging a 0.63% decline and Bonares falling 0.60%. BOPREALES rose 0.14% on average, New York law corporates gained 0.19%, sub-sovereigns advanced 0.14%, and Argentine law corporates closed practically flat (-0.04%).

PESO CURVES HAD A FAVORABLE SESSION IN USD TERMS, with CER-TAMAR duals leading the way at +0.68%, followed by TAMAR (+0.36%) and CER (+0.25%). Fixed-rate notes added 0.05%, while dollar-linked bonds were the negative exception, falling 0.24% on average.

THE OFFICIAL EXCHANGE RATE (BCRA) CLOSED AT $1,495.5 (-0.2%), the MEP at $1,524.55 (-0.01%) and the CCL at $1,583.3 (+0.06%). The TAMAR NAR rose to 23.38%. The BCRA bought USD 13 million, taking gross reserves to USD 49,567 million.

THE S&P MERVAL CLOSED UP 1.04% IN USD TERMS, breaking a streak of six consecutive negative sessions. Among the gainers, Ternium (+5.04%), Sociedad Comercial del Plata (+3.74%), and YPF (+3.64%) stood out, while the biggest declines were Banco Supervielle (-1.46%), Edenor (-1.26%), and Central Puerto.
